Dr Richard Geraghty received a Doctorate in philosophy from the University of Toronto and an M.A. in English from Ohio State. He was an Associate Professor of Philosophy at St John's Seminary College of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles where he taught courses on Plato for many years and is the author of "The Object of Moral Philosophy According to St Thomas Aquinas".
Dr Geraghty became a full time professor of Philosophy for the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in 1999 where he remained until his death in 2017. He was a member of the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars and gave lectures such as The Utopian versus the Catholic Family, Faith and Reason, and Newman for Today.
